FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is a Consultant?
A consultant is an individual who possesses one or more specific areas of expertise in any field. The consultant provides a review, analysis and recommendations in this area of expertise for the exclusive benefit of the client. The consultant’s role within the client’s organization is indirect and advisory, and the consultant’s unbiased opinion and professional advice is provided for a fee.
What is the difference between a Consultant and a Contractor?
While there are many similarities between consulting and contracting, the primary difference between the two is that the Consultant ADVISES & DIRECTS and the Contractor PERFORMS activities as directed. The Consultant determines what needs to be done, and the Contractor does the work.
